What's involved

Brushes out. Fizz open. Shall we?

This two hour glass painting workshop lands at your door, so there's no traipsing across town. Home, a weekend apartment, a holiday cottage, the office - if there's a table, it works.

Everyone decorates two stemless wine glasses of their own, and yes, you keep them and drink out of them long after the party's over.

A friendly art tutor runs the session and brings the lot: glassware, brushes, tools and a proper spread of paints and pastes made for glass. There are design sheets to flick through too, for anyone staring at a blank glass wondering where to start.

Celebrating a hen do or a birthday? Your group also teams up on one extra piece - a glass carafe decorated by everyone, handed over to the bride-to-be or the birthday girl at the end. She'll keep it.

Since it's your venue, bring your own bubbles and nibbles and treat it like a party with a craft attached rather than a class.

Expect paint-covered fingers, terrible freehand lettering and plenty of giggles!

There's plenty of drying time built into the two hours, so nothing needs collecting later - it all leaves with you.
