What's involved

Fancy a team afternoon where nobody has to stand up and share a fun fact about themselves?

This ceramic painting workshop comes to you, so there's no trekking across town and no one getting lost on the way.

Agree the venue with the experience provider beforehand - your office, a hired room, a community space, wherever suits your lot - and they'll bring the whole lot with them.

That means an expert tutor to lead the session, plus every ceramic item, paint, paste and tool you'll need.

Stuck for ideas? There are design sheets to flick through, a rainbow of paints and a pile of stencils, so nobody's sat staring at a blank mug for twenty minutes.

Everyone paints two pieces: a mug and a mini plant pot. You'll get a little succulent to pop in the pot too, which is destined to live on your desk and get watered roughly once a fortnight.

You'll be sent home with care instructions as well, so your mug can go in the dishwasher without your artwork vanishing.

Because it's your space, you can bring your own drinks and snacks and - if the venue's happy - decorate the room however you like. Keeps the cost of the day down nicely.

Expect quiet concentration, then a lot of giggling once people start comparing efforts!

It works just as well for a birthday get-together or a hen do as it does for a team away day. Everyone leaves with something they actually made.
