What's involved

Fancy an afternoon making something gorgeous, without leaving the sofa behind?

This beading workshop comes to your group rather than the other way round. Agree the venue with the experience provider beforehand and your host arrives with everything needed - which means the house, the holiday cottage or the weekend apartment all work fine.

Better still, it's your space, so sort your own snacks, drinks and decorations however you like, which keeps the costs sensible.

Then to the good bit: the beads. Rainbow Precosia pressed glass. Crystal beads. Tiny seed beads in glass. Vegan pearls, also Precosia. Picking a palette takes longer than anyone expects.

Everyone makes their own pieces - necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or all three if you're quick.

Your host shows you the techniques first, hands over the simple tools and then works round the room. Stuck for a design? They'll throw ideas at you. Not sure a clasp is on straight? They'll sort it.

Hen party in? Match your beads to the hen do outfits, or make something the bride-to-be can actually wear on the wedding day. Birthday girl gets first pick of the pearls, obviously.

No experience needed whatsoever.

Everything goes home in a presentation box, included in the price, so nothing arrives back as a tangle in the bottom of a bag.
