Chocolate Making

What's involved

Chocolate, a drinks break and your lot elbow-deep in the good stuff. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon, is it?

This workshop is a cracking shout for a hen do, a birthday or any group who'd rather make something than sit in another bar.

Your host runs the whole thing, so nobody needs to have done anything like this before. They'll say hello, talk you through what's coming, then get the melting underway.

You'll be working with artisan chocolate from Willies Cacao, with a spread of toppings to raid - fudge pieces, honeycomb and plenty more besides.

Everyone splits into little teams of three or four, sharing a melting pot between you. Once it's glossy and pourable, the moulds come out and it's over to you: extra flavours, toppings, whatever combination you fancy risking.

Your creations then head into the fridge or a cool box to set, which is your cue for a sit down and a top up.

Across the session you'll turn out dark, white and milk bars of your own, plus a handful of chocolate bites on the side.

While the chocolate firms up, there's a packaging bit - designing your own wrappers, naming your bar, that sort of thing. Expect at least one very cheeky wrapper aimed squarely at the bride-to-be!

Everything's laid on, venue included, so all you need to bring is your group and an appetite.

The only real question is whether yours make it home unopened. Will they?
