What's involved

Two activities. One bride-to-be. Absolutely no dignity left by the end of it.

The Hen Challenge lets your group pick two from a line-up of four, then hands the whole thing over to a friendly activity coordinator who sorts the kit, the rules and the refereeing.

First up, old school sports day. Egg and spoon, bean bag race and all the other classics you last attempted aged nine, now attempted in significantly less sensible footwear.

Then there's bubble mayhen, where you strap an inflatable zorb over your top half and bounce off each other until someone ends up on their back like an upturned beetle.

Prefer something faster? Dodgeball is all dipping, ducking, diving and dodging, and it gets competitive far quicker than anyone expects.

Or take on combat archery, where the aim is genuinely to shoot your mates. Accuracy varies wildly.

Whichever two you land on, expect shrieking, terrible tactics and a bride-to-be being thoroughly ganged up on!

The whole thing runs for about two hours, long enough to settle a few scores before you head off for the rest of the day.

It's a brilliant way to kick off a hen weekend, especially when half the group have never met each other. Nothing breaks the ice like a shared sports day injury.

Available seven days a week, indoors in a sports hall or outside on a 3G pitch, so the weather isn't going to ruin it.

Where will The Hen Challenge take place?

The venue will be in or near the town or city centre and will be confirmed approximately 2 weeks prior to your date. This is due to the supplier working with a wide range of venues. This activity will take place either inside a sports hall or outside on a 3G pitch.

What should we wear?

Wear clothes you can move in such as jogging bottoms, T-shirts, shorts and trainers. Dress for the British weather.

Who hosts the activity?

You’ll have an event coordinator who’ll explain the rules and host the games.
